Paul Rabil Ventures to the Great Northwest Next Week
Washington Stealth star transition player Paul Rabil will make his first appearances in the greater Seattle area on July 13 and 14. Rabil will perform a number of shooting clinics for local youth lacrosse clubs and the two-day venture will be capped off by an autograph signing at the Breakaway Lacrosse store in Bellevue, Wash.
The trip will begin for Rabil with shooting demos and instruction at the Gamebreaker Lacrosse Camp at the University of Washington. Campers will be able to learn techniques used by Rabil to perfect his 111-mile per hour shot.
Rabil will be joined by new Stealth teammate, Jason Bloom later in the day for another shooting clinic for the Issaquah Youth Lacrosse Association and all its members. Issaquah boasts one of the state’s largest youth lacrosse clubs and they will be treated to instruction by two of the National Lacrosse League’s brightest young stars.
Rabil and Bloom will head to Mercer Island for the last appearance of day one and meet up with youth lacrosse players to share practice regimens and drills that will assist in the growth of their games.
On day two, Rabil will continue his tour with the Bainbridge Island Youth Lacrosse Club and another shooting clinic.
He then heads to Bellevue for his public appearance and autograph session at Breakaway Lacrosse. Fans in attendance will receive an autographed 2010 Paul Rabil Player Card and get an opportunity to meet the four-time NCAA All-American. Rabil is scheduled to be at the Breakaway Lacrosse store from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The store is located at 10830 NE 2nd Place, Bellevue, WA. For more information, call Breakaway Lacrosse at (425) 451-3299.
Rabil will conclude his trip with the Bellevue Youth Lacrosse Club where he will be joined once again by Bloom.
Rabil was a member of the 2009 NLL All-Rookie team and led all Stealth transition players with 34 points. Prior to the NLL, he starred at Johns Hopkins University where he won two NCAA Division I National Championships. He was the #2 overall selection in the 2008 NLL Entry Draft.
Bloom was a two-time team captain at the Ohio State University before entering the NLL with the Colorado Mammoth. Last season, he was a two-way terror for opposing teams, locking down the opposition’s offense while tallying 23 points in 16 games.
The Washington Stealth enter their first season in the Comcast Arena at Everett in January. Season Tickets start at just $75 and are available by calling 877-MY-75-TIX. For more information of the Stealth, visit www.stealthlax.com.
