Rabil Named MLL Most Valuable Player
It has been a very good year for Washington Stealth
transition player Paul Rabil.
After being selected #2 overall in the 2008 National Lacrosse League
Entry Draft, Rabil went on to be named a member of the 2009 NLL All-Rookie Team
in his first season playing the indoor game.
Now, Rabes is dominating the field game again. He earned his second Major League Lacrosse All-Star
appearance, won the fastest shot competition at said All-Star game with a
record-breaking 111-mph bullet, and now has been recognized as the league’s
Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player. He led the MLL this season with 55
points in 12 games.
The MVP announcement was made this morning, two days before Rabil and the fourth-seeded
Boston Cannons head to Annapolis, Md., for MLL Championship Weekend. They take on Rabil’s Stealth teammate,
Eric Martin and the top-seeded Denver Outlaws on Saturday morning at 9am PST
(ESPN2).
You can see Paul Rabil and the rest of the Stealth when they return to the NLL
this winter and get set to kick off the inaugural professional lacrosse season
in the state of Washington.
