Hunt and Bloom Overlake Clinics... And Then Some
Ben Hunt and Jason Bloom made their way to The Overlake
School last weekend to provide some instruction and have a little fun during
the ten-team fall ball league that takes place there last week. The young athletes came away with more
than just shooting tips from the Washington Stealth stars; they will have a few
stories to go along with it.
It’s funny how the rain seems to hold off when the Stealth are around for a
clinic. But once again, everyone
was treated to a beautiful day for lacrosse. Hunt and Bloom prepared a shooting clinic for the teams when
they weren’t on the field. Players
got one-on-one instruction from the Stealth stars on the art of dodging,
shooting on the run and providing more power in their shot.
The first clinic ran from 1pm-2pm with the second going on from 3pm-4pm. For the hour in between however, Hunt
and Bloom gave the players on the Lynnwood and Skyline clubs a little more than
they bargained for: they took the field with them. The short-handed Lynnwood team had two new players for the
day in Hunt and Bloom. The Skyline
players had a 6-foot-5 Hunt and 6-foot-1 Bloom to defend (Photo of Bloom above

While the pair had fun playing during the game, the most valuable part for the
teams on the field was the instruction they received during live game
action. From the bench and on the
field, Hunt and Bloom could be heard shouting instruction and critiquing play
as the game went on.
At the end of the day, ten teams in the area had the opportunity to learn some
techniques from the Stealth and two of those teams got to take the field with
guys who are among the best in the world at their craft. And it appeared that everyone from the
players to the fans in the stands had some fun. Not really all that surprising when it comes to lacrosse.
