The Clinics Continue with Appearances From Stealth Head Coach Chris Hall This Weekend
Washington Stealth Head Coach Chris Hall will be in town
this week for a series of appearances around the Puget Sound. Hall’s journey will begin on Thursday
with the Bainbridge Island High School Lacrosse team and end Sunday with North
Sound Lacrosse Fall Ball. Stealth
star Jamison Koesterer will also be involved with a field lacrosse clinic on
Saturday.
Hall has spent 37 years as a player and coach in both field and indoor
lacrosse. As an indoor
lacrosse coach, Hall won the 2004 National Lacrosse League Championship, the
1983 and 1999 Mann Cup and was a two-time recipient of the Western Lacrosse
Association Coach of the Year Award.
In the field game, he won 12 Canadian National Championships in the
midst of a 76-game winning streak with the Victoria Seasprays. He was also the Head Coach and General
Manager for the Canadian National Team from 1988 to 1994. Those are just a few of the highlights
on Hall’s resume.
In other words, he’s a pretty good coach.
And youth lacrosse players around the area will have an opportunity to
learn from him first hand.
On Thursday, Hall will meet up with Bainbridge Lacrosse for an indoor lacrosse
clinic at The Zone Sportsplex in Poulsbo, Wash. From 5pm to 7:30pm, players involved with Bainbridge Box
Lacrosse will receive instruction from one of the sport’s brightest minds. Hall will present a clinic on basic
offensive and defensive box strategies, observe and offer instruction following
the evening’s games. The Zone
Sportsplex is located at 21291 Urdahl Rd. NW, Poulsbo, WA.
Friday, Hall will provide indoor lacrosse instruction to the Snohomish Lacrosse
Club from 3:30pm to 5pm. Once
again, Hall will explain the fundamental differences between the indoor and
field lacrosse games with a clinic.
The clinic will take place at the Snohomish Soccer Dome, 511 Maple Ave.,
Snohomish, WA.
On Saturday, the Stealth will venture back into the field lacrosse realm, with
transition player Jamison Koesterer taking the lead on a clinic with the
Puyallup Lacrosse Club. From 12pm
to 2pm, Koesterer will provide instruction on all aspects of the game,
including shooting, passing, ground balls, dodging and defense. This clinic will take place at Ballou Junior
High School, 9916 136th Street, E. Puyallup, WA 98373.
While Koesterer runs the clinic in Puyallup, Hall will be at Breakaway Lacrosse
in Bellevue from 11am to 5pm.. He
will be available for autographs and to talk lacrosse with fans, as well as give
away some Stealth Merchandise.
This will be a great opportunity for the Stealth’s new fans in the
Northwest to get to know the man behind the bench and learn more about the
team. Breakaway Lacrosse is
located at 10830 NE 2nd Pl., Bellevue, WA 98004.
The weekend will end with a field lacrosse clinic with North Sound Fall
Ball. Much like the other clinics
during the week, Hall will be coaching the players on all aspects of lacrosse
both offense and defense. The
clinic takes place from 10am to 12pm at Hawthorne Elementary School in North
Everett. The address for the
clinic is 1110 Poplar St., Everett, WA 98201.
All of the week’s events are free and open to the public. Don’t miss out on this great
opportunity to learn from one of the National Lacrosse League’s top coaches,
and one of the sport’s most knowledgeable emissaries.
