Stealth Announce 2009 Schedule
SAN JOSE - The West Division Champion San Jose Stealth released their schedule today along with the rest of the teams in the National Lacrosse League. The 16-game slate is dominated by home games in the early part of the schedule. The Stealth will have seven of their first 11 games at San Jose's HP Pavilion, including a stretch of three straight?games with West Division foes Colorado (March 14, 12:30 p.m.), Edmonton (March 21, 7:30 p.m.) and Portland (March 28 12:30 p.m.) on consecutive Saturdays. The team will also host exciting match-ups with East division teams?against?Rochester (Jan. 18), and Philadelphia (Jan. 31). The Stealth-Portland Lumberjax game on March 28 looms as a large one. Portland ousted the?Stealth in the first round of the playoffs last season; Portland eventually lost to the Buffalo Bandits in the NLL Championship Game. San Jose also plays two of three games against the rival Colorado Mammoth at home on March 14 and April 10. The Stealth kick off the season in Chicago against former goalie Anthony Cosmo. The Stealth then close the?campaign against team captain Colin Doyle's former team, the Toronto Rock. It marks the first time San Jose has ever played in Toronto.
