  • The San Jose Stealth has named Michael Kennett as the club's new Director of Communications effective December 1st. Kennett joins the Stealth after serving as the Sports Information Director at Whittier College since August of 2006. At Whittier, Kennett was responsible for the media promotion of the college's 21 intercollegiate teams, including the creation of publications, game management and fund raising initiatives.   • The San Jose Stealth has signed veterans Curtis Hodgson, Peter Veltman and Luke Hinton to contracts for the 2009 season. Curtis Hodgson returns to the Stealth for his fifth season after scoring four goals and 10 assists for 14 points which were all career highs. His 95 loose balls were good for third most on the team.   • The San Jose Stealth added more brawn recently with the signings of defense/transition players Will Dalton and Jason Lutz. The 265-pound Dalton spent the last four seasons on the Maryland lacrosse team as a midfielder and the Terrapins main faceoff player. He was also Maryland's team captain and won the lacrosse team's "Big Man" award, given to the player who best exemplifies the selfless and positive qualities of legendary coach Dick Edell.   • The first game for new coach Jeff Dowling will actually take place in preseason. The San Jose Stealth will travel to Denver for a Saturday, Dec. 20 game against the rival Colorado Mammoth. The game begins at 7 p.m. Mountain time. The Stealth will also end their training camp, which begins Saturday Nov. 22 in San Jose, that weekend in Denver.
