Duch "Sweet-E-Nuff" for NLL Rookie of the Month Honors

Stealth rookie sensation Rhys Duch earned his second honor from the National Lacrosse League this week by being named the NLL’s Rookie of the Month April 2.  He was named Rookie of the Week just two days earlier.

Duch continued his sensational rookie campaign in March, scoring 10 goals and adding 19 assists for 29 points in five games played. He also picked up 42 loose balls.  San Jose went 2-3 in the month of March, and remain alive for a playoff spot in the West Division race, taking a record of 5-8 into the home stretch. Duch has scored 70 points on the season (24 goals, 46 assists), the second highest scoring member of the Stealth so far this season. With three regular season games remaining, he is on pace to eclipse the leagues rookie scoring record, set by Gavin Prout. Prout scored 82 points during his rookie season (2002).

The Stealth take on the Minnesota Swarm on April 3.  Fan Appreciation Night at the HP Pavilion kicks off at 6:00pm with the opening face-off scheduled for 7:00pm.  The first 2,500 fans through the door receive a special edition Stealth T-Shirt.  There will also be an opportunity for fans to win prizes in the “Launch-A-Ball” contest that will take place after the game.  All the money raised in the contest goes to the Sticks-2-Schools program.  Tickets for the game are available by calling 877-MY-SJ-TIX or at www.sjstealth.com.
