Lacrosse Fights Cancer Launch Event

The Vancouver Stealth launched Lacrosse Fights Cancer week with two mini-camps today at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse. Current Stealth stars Cliff Smith, Matt Beers, Tyler Richards, Matt Roik and Captain Kyle Sorensen were on hand to guide minor lacrosse players through fundamental drills on what turned out to be a great day for everyone involved.

Over 25 minor lacrosse players were on hand to learn from the pros in this intimate setting. Stealth players walked the athletes through a series of drills, focussing on the fundamentals like foot work, body position and defensive posture.

Funds from today’s launch event will be going towards helping the Canadian Cancer Society and their ongoing battle against all cancers and baby Chloe Dietrich, a family friend of Stealth player, Cliff Smith.

From the two session today, the Vancouver Stealth are pleased to have raised over $800! Thank you to all who participated and generously donated today. Don’t forget you can bid online for commemorative Stealth game worn jerseys at

Fans will also have the opportunity to bid live at Saturday’s game vs the Buffalo Bandits. It will be NLL legend, John Tavares’ first visit to the LEC. Don’t miss out on great NLL action and help the Vancouver Stealth help the Canadian Cancer Society continue to fight against all cancers.
