Ladies and Gentlemen, The 2010 Washington Stealth Bombshells

The Washington Stealth Bombshells, the Dance Team of the new National Lacrosse League franchise playing at the Comcast Arena at Everett this winter, completed their search for the preeminent dancers in the Puget Sound after two auditions were held over the last week.  Last Saturday, a formal audition was held with nine dancers named to the squad.  Wednesday night, a separate private audition took place with three more dancers added to the mix.

Saturday’s open auditions at the Comcast Arena brought about a tough competition for the area’s top dancers. Bombshells Director Sheena Shive provided a routine that all the dancers learned and performed in front of seven judges, followed by a round of personal interviews.  Judges included Stealth Owner Denise Watkins, NLL Rookie of the Year Rhys Duch, KRKO Sports Talk Show Host Jeff “The Fish” Aaron and KIRO TV’s Jenni Hogan.  Ultimately, the group was narrowed down to nine women that the judges felt would most strongly represent the Stealth on the field and in the community.

Shive then held a second set of auditions that resulted in three more additions to the Bombshells squad.   The Dance Team features eleven women with past experience dancing in professional sports.  Eight members are former Sonics Dancers, two members are formerly Seagals and one was a member of Arena Football 2’s, Spokane Shock Girls.

“I am so excited to announce the 2010 Bombshells dance team,” said Shive after the final round of auditions.  “We have selected an amazing group of beautiful, talented women that will be great ambassadors for the Stealth Organization. I know the fans have something special to look forward to and I can’t wait to get them out into the community and in front of the Stealth fans on opening night on January 9th.”
