Vancouver, British Columbia (Thursday, April 9, 2015) – The Vancouver Stealth are pleased to announce that forward Logan Schuss has been named the Offensive Coordinator for the Stealth Lacrosse Academy.
Schuss, who was acquired by the Stealth in a trade last week, is the reigning National Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year, compiling 73 points in 18 games in 2014. The number one pick in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft has made an impressive mark in his short time with Vancouver as the forward has scored 11 points in 2 games.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the Stealth Lacrosse Academy program,” said Schuss. “This is a special opportunity to be a part of an already great program. I can’t wait to bring my knowledge in both the field and box game to the young kids and develop their game to the next level.”
After a stellar junior career, Schuss earned a scholarship to play collegiate lacrosse at Ohio State University. He was the first Buckeye to earn United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Scholar (USILA) All-America honours three times. As a senior in 2013, he led Ohio State to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournament title and the NCAA quarterfinals. He was a two-time ECAC Player of the Year and the first Buckeye to earn first team all-conference honours four times. He ended his career as Ohio State’s all-time leading goal scorer and had at least one point in all 62 games of his Buckeye career, scoring 146 goals and adding 91 assists for 237 points. He was a four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
The Stealth are currently planning the summer tournament season for the Junior Stealth. Players interested in participating should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
