Vancouver, BC (Monday, September 18, 2017) – The Vancouver Stealth today have announced they have acquired Anthony Malcom and the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NLL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for Jordan Durston.
“We are excited to get Anthony Malcolm in our line up, he is a local kid from New Westminster and we are looking forward to having him be a big part of our righty squad this season,” said Assistant General Manager and Head Coach Jamie Batley. “The organization wants to thank Jordan Durston for his two years in Vancouver and wish him the best of luck in his NLL career.”
Malcom was originally drafted in the second round (11th overall) in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Bandits. In two seasons, he has appeared in 30 regular season and playoff games scoring 34 goals, 42 assists for 76 points and has collected 100 loose balls.
Malcom spent the 2017 Western Lacrosse Association’s season with the New Westminster Salmonbellies. He helped lead the team to a WLA Championship and a berth into the Mann Cup Finals. In 32 regular season and playoff games he scored 24 goals, 48 assists and 72 points.
