Vancouver, BC (Friday, October 6, 2017) – The Vancouver Stealth have released the dates for their 2017/2018 training camp.
The camp will run from November 4th through December 2nd.
The team will officially open camp on November 3, where they will hold a closed-door team meeting. The players hit the floor on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9am-11am, 6pm-8pm and return on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 9am-11am. The schedule will repeat on November 25-26 and will wrap up camp on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
“We are expecting this to be a very competitive camp,” said Assistant General Manager and Head Coach Jamie Batley. “Last year, we wanted to push cardio and this year we are going to make it tougher for the guys. Our mindset is to make it as close to game-action from the first whistle so the team is ready for the first game of the season.”
All sessions will take place in the Langley Events Centre’s Fieldhouse and will be open and free to the public.
The Stealth will also be playing two pre-season games in Vancouver. On November 11, 2017, Vancouver hosts Calgary at 7:00pm and on Sunday, November 12, 2017, the Stealth welcome the Mammoth at 9:00am. In addition to the Stealth’s two pre-season games, the Mammoth will play the Roughnecks on November 11 at 12:00pm. All three games will be taking place inside the Fieldhouse and are free and open to the public.
Vancouver will fly to Calgary the weekend of November 17-19 and will hold two training sessions from 8:30am-10:30am on November 18th and 9am-11am on November 19. They will play Calgary in an exhibition game on November 18th at 7:00pm inside the Scotiabank Saddledome.
