Stealth Continue to Give Back During the Holidays

The San Jose Stealth were in the Holiday spirit Tuesday night December 16th, as they visited the Optimist Club Christmas event at Naperdak Hall in San Jose. The Optimist Club, which helps meet the needs of young people in communities worldwide by providing hope and positive vision through community involvement, were visited by special guests including Santa Clause, San Jose Stealth players; Colin Doyle, Rhys Duch, Kyle Sorensen, Kyle Hartzell, Luke Hinton, Frank Resetarits, members of the San Jose Stealth Dance team, and front office staff. Even Santa was ready for the Stealth, dressed in all red. All were on hand to take part in this event with 200 children and families from the local area. Every child received a meal, teddy bear, a big present from Santa, and a stocking. The players took pictures with the children and showed off some cool tricks of the trade in the sport Lacrosse. They also helped the children pick out a present while playing the role of Santa’s helpers. Rhys Duch made a new friend, five-year old Katrina. “When we got there she was kind of shy, hiding behind her mom, but by the end of the night she came out and helped me pick out presents when Santa arrived,” said Duch. “Overall it was a great way to kick off the Holiday season”.The San Jose Stealth are privileged to be involved in these and other community events throughout the Bay Area. The Holiday Season is a time when the players and staff have a chance to give back and make an impact on the lives of children. We would like to thank the Optimist Club for all they do because “Optimists bring out the best in kids!”
