Vancouver, BC (Monday, September 21, 2015) – The Vancouver Stealth announced Monday that the team has re-signed veterans Cliff Smith and Mitch McMichael to one year.
Smith, a six year National Lacrosse League veteran has played in 89 games over his career scoring 71 goals, 102 assists good for 165 points along with 176 loose balls. The Surrey native scored 8 goals and added 17 assists along with 31 loose balls in 2015,
“Cliff contributes in so many ways for us and is willing to do whatever is needed to help us win. His versatility as both at both ends of the floor is a tremendous plus,” commented Doug Locker, Stealth President and General Manager.
McMichael returned to the Stealth this past season after missing all of 2014 due to injury. In 2015 he played in 17 games scoring 1 goal and added 11 assists for 12 points. His 135 loose balls led the team and he won 241 or 462 faceoff attempts good for 52 percent. In 2013, McMichael scored 5 goals and added 9 assists for 14 points.
“Mitch is one of the most talented draw men in the NLL and can play a variety of roles for us. We are looking forward to having him back with the team this season,” continued Locker.
