Vancouver, BC – Friday, February 2, 2018 – In Week 9 action, the Vancouver Stealth begin their first home-and-home of the season when they head to Saskatoon to take on the Rush on Saturday night. With frigid temperatures expected to hit -22, the Stealth look to heat up Saskatchewan with their second road victory of the season.
In addition to the game being on NLL TV and broadcast on TSN radio, lacrosse fans will benefit from the National Lacrosse League’s Twitter Game of the Week. The game will be live streamed on Twitter for free.
“It is exciting that the Stealth are playing in the Twitter Game of the Week, it is a chance to show their fans and teams that they are ready to start a run. It is also incredibly important to capture new eyes on the best game in the world,” said Stealth play-by-play broadcaster Jake Elliott. “Vancouver has matched up well with the Rush over the past few seasons and I am expecting another similar performance on Saturday night.”
After starting the season in a bit of a funk, Corey Small has found his scoring touch, bagging 12 goals and 5 points or more in his last four games. Meanwhile, Logan Schuss has started the 2018 season off hot, already tallying 15 goals and 15 assists in five games and is on pace for his most prolific season in the NLL.
Jake Elliott has the call at 5:30pm PST tomorrow, while Brad Challoner takes the pre-game duties at 5:15pm PST on TSN Radio. The game will broadcast on NLL TV and live on Twitter.
After their first clash of the season with the Rush, Vancouver will have their second game of the home-and-home against Saskatchewan on February 10, 2018, inside Langley Events Centre. Before the game, they will have a pre-game ceremony to honor long-time captain Curtis Hodgson. The celebration will include the first time the Stealth will retire a player’s jersey.
Tickets to the next home game on February 10 are still available including single game tickets, 3 and 5 game Flex Packs and Boston Pizza Packs, which feature four tickets, one large pizza, four soft drinks and a cactus cut appetizer for $99 at all local Boston Pizzas.
