The Washington Stealth has announced the schedule for training camp as the team prepares for the start of the 2012 National Lacrosse League regular season in January. The Stealth will begin training camp the weekend of December 10 in Langley, British Columbia, which includes an exhibition game against the Toronto Rock in a rematch of the last two NLL Championship Games.
The Stealth will travel to Langley for its first weekend of training camp, December 9-11. The weekend will include two practices as well as clinics for local coaches and players. For the first time since 2004, the NLL will be playing in British Columbia and its residents will get to see some of today’s biggest stars, such as Stealth All-Stars Lewis Ratcliff and Rhys Duch and the Toronto Rock’s Colin Doyle and Stephan Leblanc. The Stealth will be in Langley along with the Rock as the two teams take part in an exhibition game Saturday, December 10 at 7pm at the Langley Events Centre.
The Stealth will also practice Saturday morning from 9-11am and again on Sunday morning at 10:30am. Practices will be open to fans with tickets to the exhibition game Saturday night.
The Stealth and Rock will also be holding a pair of clinics over the weekend, starting with a coaches’ clinic with members of both teams’ coaching staffs and local youth lacrosse coaches on Friday night at Langley Events Centre. The following day, prior to the exhibition game, Stealth and Rock players will hold a youth lacrosse clinic from 1pm-2pm at the Langley Events Centre.
The Stealth will return home to the Comcast Arena at Everett for the remaining two weekends of training camp. Times and locations are listed below.
