The San Jose Stealth has named Michael Kennett as the club's new Director of Communications effective December 1st. Kennett joins the Stealth after serving as the Sports Information Director at Whittier College since August of 2006. At Whittier, Kennett was responsible for the media promotion of the college's 21 intercollegiate teams, including the creation of publications, game management and fund raising initiatives. Prior to his arrival at Whittier he was the Assistant Sports Information Director at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
In his role with the Stealth he will be responsible for the team's communications efforts. These responsibilities include all media outreach, web content and game day media oversight. In addition, he will be directly involved with the teams television and radio initiatives during the season. A 2004 graduate of Syracuse University, Kennett majored in Communications and Rhetorical Studies and was heavily involved in radio and television as an undergraduate, serving as the lead reporter for Syracuse lacrosse.
The Stealth management team will look to Michael to integrate the NLL's most aggressive, sophisticated and dynamic marketing, ticket and partner program while building a viral lacrosse community that will impact the Bay Area's lacrosse development for years” commented David Wilkinson, Executive Vice President, Business Operations.
