By Aquasox Press Release

In the wake of the tragedy in Haiti, the Washington Stealth and Everett AquaSox are partnering with Kokanee Elementary to raise money for humanitarian aid and earthquake relief. The weeklong fundraiser will go from school to sporting event as all three organizations pitch in to raise money.  The fundraiser will end with a coin drive at the Comcast Arena during the Stealth’s game against the Buffalo Bandits on January 22.

From January 19th-22nd, Kokanee students will be hosting a coin drive to benefit the disaster relief efforts, and to increase world awareness in their school.

The AquaSox will be hosting a similar drive in their offices, open to anyone in the public, and the AquaSox Community Fund will match Kokanee's proceeds up to $500.

"We thought that the coin drive was a great idea when we heard about it," said AquaSox Community Relations Manager Katie Crawford, "We are excited to assist the students of Kokanee in promoting this event community-wide."

To finish the week, the Washington Stealth, AquaSox staff and Kokanee families will be hosting a coin drive on Friday the 22nd before the Stealth's 8:00 game against the Buffalo Bandits at Comcast Arena.

"We are so appreciative to the students and staff of Kokanee for taking the initiative and helping the victims of Haiti. We are honored to join Kokanee and the Aquasox in such a great cause," said Breanna Kernan, Director of Community Relations for the Stealth.
