The Washington Stealth have
placed assistant captain Kyle Sorensen on the Injured Reserve list retroactive
to February 1. Second year
transition player Steve McKinlay has been activated to replace Sorensen on the
23-man active roster.
Sorensen sustained a lower body injury in the Stealth’s 12-11 win over Colorado on January 30. Sorensen missed his first game of the season last week when the Stealth defeated the Minnesota Swarm 12-9. It was the first game Sorensen had missed since his rookie season in 2007. The Stealth defenseman has a goal, three assists and 26 loose balls this season.
McKinlay has been activated for the first time this season. The second-year transition player from Coquitlam, British Columbia appeared in six games last season, recording a goal, two assists and 15 loose balls.
The Stealth is in action on February 13 when they take on the Minnesota Swarm at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The game begins at 5:35pm PST and can be watched live on the NLL Network at NLL.com.
