The Washington Stealth’s third annual Pink in the Rink event is coming up on Sunday, March 25 at the Comcast Arena. The event will feature the “Stick it to Breast Cancer” fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center and breast cancer prevention and treatment. The Stealth still has several opportunities for your group to support the cause and be a part of the halftime ceremony at the game.
Groups can purchase tickets to the game at a discounted rate and potentially have a portion of the ticket go back to the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center. Tickets, which are originally $24, can be purchased for as low as $15 for groups of 50 or more. Groups can also purchase their tickets for $20, with 25% of the ticket price going back to the Breast Center.
Groups of 50 or more are also invited to take part in the Pink in the Rink halftime ceremony. Fans will be recognized on the turf as they display large, pink breast cancer ribbons for the entire arena to see.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Providence Comprehensive Breast Center offers screening and diagnosis, support services and award-winning care to thousands of women in the Puget Sound. Financial contributions to the Providence General Foundation’s Comprehensive Breast Center Fund help support the overall mission and work of this important Center. Support directed to the Center is used to fund programs like educational materials for patients, camisoles for women after a mastectomy and screening and diagnostic services regardless of the individual’s ability to pay. And with the number of detected breast cancer cases increasing every day, the need for these important support services is only increasing.
It’s the perfect way for your business or club to raise funds and awareness for a great cause.
