VANCOUVER, BC (Tuesday, July 2, 2013) – On the heels of the franchise's move to British Columbia, the Vancouver Stealth have promoted Doug Locker to President and General Manager. Locker has served the club for ten seasons and recently completed his fourth as Vice President and General Manager, winning the National Lacrosse League’s General Manager of the Year while helping guide the Stealth to the Championship game. He also serves as Chairman of the NLL Competition Committee.
“Doug has done a tremendous job for the Stealth in his ten years with the organization,” Stealth owner Denise Watkins said that Doug’s experience and his track record made it an easy decision with David Takata moving into the role of CFO, “I know Doug will continue to produce great results on and off the turf.”
Locker will take over for David Takata in the role of President of the franchise during an exciting time for the team as it sets up shop in its new home at the Langley Events Centre. For more information regarding the Stealth, please visit www.StealthLax.com
