Junior Stealth finish the season with a great experience

Vancouver, BC – The Junior Stealth finished up their 2013 season at the first ever NLL Junior Tournament from August 23-25 at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.  The tournament included Pee Wee and Bantam lacrosse teams from across the league including the Buffalo Bandits, the Colorado Mammoth, the Minnesota Swarm, the Rochester Knighthawks, the Toronto Rock and the Vancouver Stealth.

The young stars of the future enjoyed the full professional lacrosse experience where they played under the NLL rules and had official NLL referees. Each team also had player coaches from their pro affiliates which included the Stealth’s Lewis Ratcliff, future NLL Hall-of-Famer John Tavares and many more.

Lewis Ratcliff was the Field Director for Stealth and he was very impressive with what the tournament had to offer,

“It was a really well run event and really fun to be a part of,” Ratcliff said.

The two Junior Stealth teams had good showings as they both made it into the semi-finals of the tournament. The Pee Wee team lost to the Colorado Mammoth while the Bantam team fell to the Toronto Rock who both ended up winning the tournament for their respective divisions.

It was an eventful season for the Junior Stealth who got to travel to Calgary, California, Colorado and Toronto this summer. It’s been a summer full of experience for the up and coming stars as things continue to look bright moving forward.

“I think this is only the beginning,” Ratcliff said,

“It’s going to get better and better, there are already plans for next year.”

Ratcliff and his Vancouver Stealth teammates will see their first action on January 4th as they begin their 2014 season on the road against the Colorado Mammoth. The Stealth then return for their home opener on January 11th against the Minnesota Swarm which will be their first game in their new home at the Langley Events Centre.
