Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Stealth will be a sponsor of the 2013 Mann Cup to be held at Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria. The tournament will run from September 6-14 with the 7 game series featuring the Victoria Shamrocks (WLA Champions) and the Six Nations Chiefs (MSL Champions).

We are extremely pleased to be associated with the Mann Cup,” said Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker,

“We look forward to a great series between these two very good teams.”

A few Stealth players will be in action for the Shamrocks, as Rhys Duch looks to continue his strong play in the playoffs. He has already put up big numbers in the postseason so far, scoring 12 goals and 16 assists.

Mitch Jones of the Stealth has also contributed for the Shamrocks having scored 5 goals and 2 assists in 4 games. Vancouver Stealth Assistant Coach Art Webster will also be behind the bench for the Shamrocks as an assistant coach come game time.

Bear Mountain Arena has been a difficult place for visiting teams all year as the Shamrock fans have consistently packed the arena and created an atmosphere that’s electric. The Shamrock players have been able to use the emotion of their crowd to their advantage and will look to continue that trend in the Mann Cup.

The Shamrocks are looking for their 9th Mann Cup title as the 7 game series gets started tomorrow night (September 6) at 7pm. Fans couldn’t wait for the opportunity to grab tickets as game one is already sold out and they are now selling standing room only tickets.
