Forty-six free agents descended on the Langley Events Centre for the Vancouver Stealth two day free agent camp.
Free agents arrived at the Fieldhouse on Friday October 25 and were immediately put to the test with a series of high intensity drills and ended the night with a Team Black versus Team White inter-squad scrimmage. Head Coach Chris Hall had a watchful eye over the proceedings.
"We were impressed with the intensity level of all the players. There were some technical things we wanted to see and I think overall the guys did a great job."
On Saturday October 26 there were 2 sessions planned and the up- tempo training sessions continued. The morning session saw a carryover from Friday night and players were pushed hard as the coaching staff was demanding high quality from the players. Emphasis on the technical side of the game continued to be pushed onto players and some responded well while others struggled slightly.
Saturday's night session was reserved for full scrimmage where players had one last chance to impress coaches and management. Fighting for invites to main camp at the end of November, players left nothing on the sidelines. There was plenty of goal scoring and end to end action.
"Overall I am very pleased with how camp went. We got a look at some players that we had our eyes on and also got a look at some of our recent draft picks as well. It was a great weekend for us."
With the end of Free Agent Camp, the Stealth have plenty to do in the weeks leading up to main Training Camp, which will be held at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse at the end of November.
