(Vancouver, BC – Friday, April 11, 2014) – The Vancouver stealth announced today that goaltender Tyler Richards has been placed on the short term Injured Reserve List (7 days) and will miss this weekend’s road game versus the Rochester Knighthawks.  As per club policy the nature of the injury was not released,

"Losing a player of Tyler's ability is certainly discouraging, however Matt is a proven NLL veteran whom we have immense confidence in." said Stealth President and General Manager, Doug Locker.

Twelve year veteran goaltender, Matt Roik, will get his first start of the season in place of Richards. Roik has seen action in five other games this season posting a 13.62 goals against average and a 0.730 save percentage.

Also, goaltender Neil Tyacke has been moved to the active roster from the practice roster, as he will backup Roik for this weekend’s game.

The Stealth hit the turf in Rochester at 4:30PM PST. The game can be seen on YouTube via the Lacrosse Network.
