Vancouver, BC (Monday, June 9, 2014) – The Junior Stealth grabbed two gold medals and one silver medal at the Battle of the Box in Denver, Colorado this past weekend, which was the first tournament of the US box season.

The Pee Wee and Midget teams claimed gold in two tightly contested finals. Both games went to a shootout and only one goal was needed for each team to secure the win, as the Junior Stealth goalies came up big, stopping every shot they faced.

The Bantam team was down big in the third period of their final, but they managed to score five straight goals to make it close in the end. They pulled their goalie in the final seconds but were unable to give the Junior Stealth their third gold medal of the weekend.

Finishing the weekend with two gold medals and one silver was the successful start the Junior Stealth were looking for and they will look for more hardware at the end of the month. The next tournament for the Junior Stealth will be Canada Day long weekend, June 28-30.

The Junior Stealth are coached by three Vancouver Stealth players, Lewis Ratcliff, Mitch McMichael and Curtis Hodgson.
