Vancouver, BC (August 1, 2014) – New Westminster Salmonbellies coach Dan Perreault and his staff have won the 2014 Doug Hazelwood Memorial Trophy. Perreault and his staff of Rob Dalzell and Clayton Richardson won the award, presented to the best coaching staff in the BC Junior ‘A’ Lacrosse League.

Perreault led the Salmonbellies to the best record in the regular season going 20-1, ending the season on a fifteen game win streak. This is his second BCJALL Coach of the Year award (2008).

Perreault was recently named the new head coach of the Vancouver Stealth, taking over for Chris Hall, who announced his retirement in June. Prior to being named head coach, Perreault was an assistant with the Stealth organization for the past two seasons, which included a Champion’s Cup appearance in 2013.

Clayton Richardson is an advance scout for the Stealth and has been involved with lacrosse both as a player and coach for many years. Richardson was a member of the Salmonbellies and appeared in three Mann Cups. He was an assistant coach of the Terry Fox Ravens Junior Lacrosse team that won the Provincial Championships in 2012.

The Stealth congratulate Perreault and the Salmonbellies staff on an outstanding season and look forward to having him behind the bench for the 2015 season.

Vancouver Stealth 2015 Season Tickets are available now starting at $99.
