Chris Hall is in his ninth season as a head coach in the National Lacrosse League, and his fourth with the Stealth. A co-recipient of the 2010 NLL Coach of the Year Award, Hall continues to add to a resume that boasts 38 years of lacrosse honors as both a coach and a player.

Hall fourth on the NLL’s all-time regular season coaching wins list with 69 victories and in 2011, led the Stealth to its second straight Western Division title.  In 2010, Hall became just the second coach in NLL history to hoist the Champion’s Cup with two different teams as he led the Stealth to its first ever NLL Championship. He won his first NLL Championship as the bench boss of the Calgary Roughnecks in 2004.

Hall took over the Stealth’s head coaching duties during the 2009 season, when the team was struggling at 3-7. The Stealth has posted a 29-17 record since then, including a 6-2 record in the playoffs.

Hall began his NLL coaching career in 2002, when he was named the head coach of the expansion Calgary Roughnecks. Along with winning his first title there, Hall also coached three All-Star games.

Hall first delved into coaching as the Co-Founder and Head Coach of the Victoria Seasprays field lacrosse club. Under Hall’s leadership, the club went on to create Canadian lacrosse history opening with a four-year, 76-game winning streak and capturing 12 Ross Cup Senior A mens’ National Championships over the next 16 years before being declared perennial national champs in 2000 until challenged. Hall was also the Head Coach and General Manager of the Canadian National Team from 1988 to 1994, leading the squad to a silver medal in Australia in 1990 and followed that performance with a bronze medal in England in 1994.

Back in the box, Hall took over the head coaching duties for the Victoria Shamrocks after an outstanding nine-year playing career with the Western Lacrosse Association club. He led the team to a Mann Cup victory in his rookie year as Head Coach. Hall again led the Shamrocks to a Mann Cup championship in 1999 and was a two-time winner of the WLA Coach of the Year award.

As a player, Hall reached the pinnacle of box lacrosse in Canada with the Victoria Shamrocks, winning the prestigious Mann Cup in 1979. In 2008. Hall was inducted as a member of the Victoria Shamrocks Hall of Fame. He also spent a year (1975) playing for the Boston Bolts of the original National Lacrosse League.

As a field lacrosse player, the tough-minded defenseman helped the Canadian team to a bronze medal in the 1982 World Games in Baltimore. At the Jim Thorpe World Games in Los Angeles in 1984, Hall helped lead Canada to a silver medal and was named to the All-World team as a defenseman. Two years later, Hall played on the 1986 silver medal-winning Canadian Team at the World Championships in Toronto.
