Cory Howerton is in his first season as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Washington Stealth. Howerton brings over 15 years of experience as a sports executive to the team.

Prior to his appointment with the Stealth, Howerton was the President of the Arena Football League’s Georgia Force. In this role, Howerton was responsible for all business activities of the club, including ticket and sponsorship sales, game operations, media relations and community relations.

After a three-year stint as the Director of Business Operations for advertising specialists Advanced Impressions, Inc. (2001-2004), the Sumner, Wash. native took over as the Director of Group Ticket Sales for his hometown basketball team, the Seattle Supersonics. For three seasons, Howerton helped grow the group sales numbers of both the Sonics and the Seattle Storm of the WNBA.

Howerton also spent two years as the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Quad Cities River Bandits, the class A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. During his tenure with the Bandits, the team led the country in overall attendance growth two consecutive years, sold naming rights to the ballpark, and won numerous awards the team marketing campaigns.

As the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Howerton will direct the teams overall sales and brand activation strategies, and growth across all of the teams revenue platforms. In addition, he will have input on all facets of the business including game operations, marketing, community and public relations.
