Doug Locker, General Manager

Doug Locker enters his seventh year with the Stealth and his first as General Manager of the Stealth. Locker manages all lacrosse operations issues including coordinating scouting and draft preparation, contract negotiations, player transactions, coaching staff management and team travel. In addition, he is directly responsible for the integration of business partnerships with lacrosse communities in the Puget Sound region.

Locker served as Director of Athletics at Notre Dame de Namur University, in Belmont, California from 2002 - 2005. Prior to his stint at NDNU, he spent 23 years at Whittier College (CA) serving as Director of Athletic Recruitment and Retention and Head Men's lacrosse coach. As the lacrosse coach at Whittier he compiled a personal coaching record of 293 - 72. As members of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League, his teams won 10 League Championships from 1985 - 1999. In 2002, he was selected as the NCAA Division III National Coach of the Year after guiding Whittier to its first ever NCAA tournament berth where they were eventually defeated in the NCAA National Quarterfinals.

Locker served as a member of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Committee, was President of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League and was also a member of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Executive Board. Currently he serves on the Board of the Northern California Chapter of US Lacrosse. In 2008 he was inducted into the Whittier College Hall of Fame, and in 2004 was inducted into the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He also served as a team manager for Team USA in the Heritage Cup. In addition, Locker served as General Manager for the San Francisco Dragons of Major League Lacrosse.

Denise Watkins, Owner

After 18 years as a software and systems engineer in the telecommunications industry, Denise launched her second career as a community volunteer and owner of the Stealth.

Her experience in sports management began as a co-owner of the Primal Quest Adventure Racing organization. Inspired by their children's interest in lacrosse, Denise and her husband, Bill, have been season ticket holders with the San Jose Stealth since the team was relocated to San Jose from Albany, New York in 2003. From the very first game, they were hooked. In June 2007, Denise and a small group of investors purchased the team from Silicon Valley Sports and Entertainment (SVSE). Denise is committed to proving that lacrosse has a place in San Jose and Northern California, and not just as a sport, but also as a tool for child development.

Through Stick Clinics, as well as the Sticks-2-Schools program, under Denise's leadership the Stealth deliverslacrosse to local schools and communities to get kids moving and to fight childhood obesity that plagues California. In addition to her responsibilities as an owner, Denise is active in the community as founder and president of the Pleasanton Schools Educational Enrichment Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to heighten and maintain art, science, and other learning programs for Pleasanton Unified School District. Denise also serves as a board member for the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center.

Johnny Mouradian

Johnny Mouradian, Consultant

Johnny Mouradian resigned from his role as president and GM in 2009 after six years with the Stealth. He is currently a senior advisor to management.

Mouradian was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2001 for his achievement as a member of the 1978 national team that won the World Championships in England. Mouradian was also inducted into the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1998, the Ithaca College Sports Hall of Fame in 2000, the Lakeport High School Hall of Fame in 2003, the National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame and the St. Catharine's, Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

Mouradian has also served in a variety of management roles with other NLL teams. He was general manager for the Buffalo Bandits, Ontario Raiders/Toronto Rock and the Ottawa Rebel. In addition, Mouradian won eight Professional World Indoor Championships in various roles as a team executive, general manager and shareholder (Buffalo in 1992, 1993 and 1996; and Toronto in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005). In 2003, Mouradian was General Manager of the Year for the National Lacrosse League.

On the international level, Mouradian played on the 1974 Canadian National Field Lacrosse Team (Melbourne Australia) and 1978 Canadian National Field Lacrosse team that captured the World Championships (Manchester, England). He was head coach of the 1985 Canadian National Team and on the coaching staffs of four Canadian National Field lacrosse teams that participated in the World Championships 1982 Baltimore Maryland, 1986 Toronto, Canada, 1990 Perth, Australia and 1998 Baltimore, Maryland.

Mouradian was General Manager of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse Heritage Cup team in 2002 and 2004. In 2003, he was general manager of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse team that won the inaugural World Indoor Championships and Chairman of the Canadian National Indoor Team the won the World Indoor Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 2007.

David Takata, President

David Takata is the former CFO and became President of the Stealth in December 2009. In June 2007, David acquired the Stealth for its current owners, the Watkins Family, and has been involved as the family's advisor since the acquisition.

In addition, he manages Engage Capital, Inc., a privately held investment firm. David serves on a number of corporate, advisory and philanthropic boards. He is a member of the NLL's Nominating, Governance, and Compensation Committee.

In addition, David chaired the Nominating and Governance Committee, and was a Finance Committee member of Komag Corporation, a leading disk drive company acquired by Western Digital in a $1.25 billion transaction. David joined Komag's board during the turnaround phase in 2002 through the 2007 sale, during which Komag grew revenue four-fold to $1B annually. During his tenure he managed the search for an independent chairman of the board; participated in the cross border acquisition of a Taiwanese-owned company operating in Malaysia; and was on the deal teams for two convertible debt offerings raising a total of $350M, and for the sale of the company.

David is a two-category Wall Street Journal All-Star technology analyst. In 1995 he raised capital and ultimately co-managed $200 million in three technology unit investment trusts while at Gruntal & Company. David was a founding member of Gerard Klauer Mattison's West Coast expansion, and later served as an advisor to GKM Venture Partners' $50 million venture capital fund.

David's commentary has been sought by leading news organizations, including the BBC, Bloomberg, Business Week, CNN, Dow Jones News Wire, Forbes, LA Business Journal, La Opinion, LA Times, NPR, Orange County Business Journal, Reuters, San Jose Mercury News, and the Wall Street Journal.

David graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, Fresno. In addition, he has participated in numerous ISS-accredited director education and best practice exchanges, including UCLA's Anderson School of Business, and the NYSE-sponsored West Coast Peer Exchange.

As an international innovator and sponsorship marketing industry leader, David has worked in 47 countries, managed hundreds of successful events, and negotiated over $500,000,000 in sponsorship contracts and over $1,500,000,000 in managed integrated communications strategies attached to those sponsorships.

Notable accomplishments include conceiving, developing and managing Cisco Systems' NetAid program, an unprecedented simultaneous live global TV/radio/webcast concert; coordinating involvement of the United Nations Development Program, major event promoters, TV producers and dozens of music performers including high-profile artists. David created the successful San Jose Grand Prix for social cause client The Canary Foundation to bring their efforts to advance the issues of Early Detection of Cancer to a larger audience. In addition, David created the naming rights package and led negotiations on behalf of Pacific Bell for the $50 million Pacific Bell Park sponsorship with the San Francisco Giants, spearheading a unique deal that generated direct revenue to offset a significant portion of Pacific Bell's sponsorship fees and creating one of the only privately-funded ballparks in the US.

David is a recipient of the prestigious Belgian Piet They Award for dramatically changing the state of the marketing industry in Europe and is an accomplished speaker and educator. David has co-authored five books on event marketing and sponsorship, conducted seminars for over 200,000 delegates worldwide and consulted to 87 national sport governing bodies and social service organizations.

Patrick J. Kernan is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses on corporate, real estate, land use, employment, intellectual property, health, sports and entertainment and commercial finance law.

Prior to founding the Law Offices of Patrick J. Kernan in 2007, Mr. Kernan was a partner and shareholder at Riegels Campos & Kenyon, LLP in Sacramento. He represented private sector clients in business and real estate transactions and issues of commercial finance.

Mr. Kernan was Vice President and General Counsel for the ValleyCare Health System in Pleasanton for three years, and established an in-house law department that was responsible for all legal affairs of a two-hospital nonprofit corporation.

Four years earlier in Pleasanton, Mr. Kernan founded and managed a satellite office of San Jose-based Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel, Inc. Mr. Kernan, a shareholder in the firm, eventually oversaw 14 attorneys in the satellite office.

For 11 years, Mr. Kernan was general counsel to Cooperative Computing, Inc. and F/K/A Triad Systems Corporation, both companies based in Livermore. CCI is an international private company and Triad an international NASDAQ company. Mr. Kernan handled numerous acquisitions, mergers, public debt financings, all human resource and benefit issues (including ERISA and 401K Plan administration), litigation, and legal matters related to SEC, FTC, international law, debt financing, equipment leasing, intellectual property and corporate management.

From 1982-1986, Mr. Kernan was Asset Lending Base Counsel for Ingersoll-Rand Financial Corporation, where he provided day-to-day legal advice for a national commercial asset-based lending and commercial equipment leasing company. Before that, he was Associate General Counsel for Equico Lessors, Inc, a national equipment leasing company.

Mr. Kernan received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in 1972 and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1976.

Jimmy enjoys attending and watching all sports, especially Bay Area team, which is where he grew up. He loves to play golf whenever he gets a chance.

Breanna Kernan, Director, Community Relations

Breanna Kernan is in her third season as the Director of Community Services for the Stealth. A Division I soccer player at Colorado College, Breanna was named Conference USA All-Academic while majoring in Economics & Business with a minor in Education.

Breanna has worked in the Conference Center and Special Events department for the Houston Astros, crafting and touting Texas school programs for Math, History, Geography and Language Arts all around the sport of baseball. Breanna has also worked in collegiate sports as a Sports Marketing Supervisor.

Sheena Shive

Sheena Shive, Dance Team Director

Sheena Shive is currently the Dance Troupe Manager and Choreographer for the WNBA’s Seattle Storm, a position she has held since 2005. She spent three seasons as a member of the Supersonics Dance Team, where she was honored as one of six dancers to represent the NBA in Tokyo, Japan during the NBA Madness Tour.

Aside from her experience as a professional dancer and choreographer, Shive spent five years as a hip-hop and jazz dance instructor for The Performance Place and is in her third year as a choreographer and judge for High School Competition Routines. She was the choreographer for the Redmond High School Dance Team that finished sixth in Washington State last year. She also spent the 2007-08 Seahawks season as a Gameday Live host for FOX Q-13 in Seattle.
