Teresa has been working at Trailside Physiotherapy in Coquitlam since starting her career as a Physiotherapist in 2010. She obtained her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2009. Prior to that, she acquired a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree with a major in Exercise Science from the University of British Columbia. Over the past years, Teresa has expanded her clinical knowledge by taking courses in manual therapy, injury prevention and sports first aid. She is currently working towards obtaining her Sport Physiotherapy Diploma certification.
Outside of the clinic, Teresa has spent countless hours working alongside different sports teams in the community. The majority of this time was spent as team therapist with the Coquitlam Junior “A” Adanacs Lacrosse team. In 2010, Teresa and co-therapist Christina Mattiello were part of the Minto Cup Champion Adanac team, and were both recognized as Trainers of the Year by the BC Lacrosse Association. Teresa was new to the sport of lacrosse prior to working with the Adanacs, but it didn’t take long for her to gain a great love and respect for the game.
Teresa is very excited to be a part of the Vancouver Stealth team this year.
